One of the most common questions we receive from customers is, "How should I store coffee beans?" Even if you purchase high-quality beans, the flavor will quickly deteriorate if they are not stored correctly.

From the moment they are roasted, coffee beans release carbon dioxide and begin to oxidize. Preventing this oxidation is the biggest key to maintaining their deliciousness.

"Cool, dark place" for short-term, "freezer" for long-term storage

To maximize the flavor of your beans, choose a storage method based on the storage period.

1. Short-term storage (if consumed within 1 month)

• Method: Storing in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight is fine.

• Note: Place them in an airtight container and avoid contact with oxygen as much as possible.

2. Long-term storage (if it takes more than 1 month)

• Method: Store them by freezing in a freezer.

• Benefits: Freezing can prevent the deterioration of coffee aroma and flavor for a long period.

⚠️ Refrigerator is NOT recommended! Why the freezer is optimal

Some people put them in the refrigerator thinking "cooling them is good," but refrigerators are not suitable for storing coffee beans due to temperature fluctuations and humidity, and they tend to absorb odors from other foods.

Freezers have stable temperatures and prevent beans from absorbing moisture, making them ideal for long-term storage.

Amazing! Brew "frozen as is" without thawing

When brewing frozen beans, extract them frozen as is, without thawing.

• Brewing method: The water temperature and brewing time can be the same as usual.

• Effect: Grinding frozen beans tends to result in a more uniform grind size, and aroma components are less likely to volatilize, thus enhancing the fresh aroma and taste.
